Twitch Ad Revenue Calculator: What You Need to Know

A Twitch ad revenue calculator helps streamers figure out how much they can expect to earn from ads shown during their broadcasts. Instead of guessing, you plug in numbers like average viewers and ad frequency, and the tool gives you a clear estimate. This makes planning your income easier, especially for affiliated Twitch streamers trying to estimate ad revenue on Twitch before committing to a schedule.

How Twitch Ad Payouts Work for Creators

Twitch pays creators a share of ad revenue rather than a flat fee. Once you run at least 3 minutes of ads per hour, that share climbs to 55% net, so if an ad break brings in $50, you’d walk away with $27.50. Partners can unlock the same rate through the Ads Incentive Program.

Twitch CPM and Revenue Per View

Payouts are tied to CPM (cost per mille), which advertisers pay per 1,000 ad views. A $3 CPM means $3 for every 1,000 viewers watching an ad, though the rate shifts with audience region and content type. Tracking your Twitch ad revenue per view alongside your unique chatters (visible on your Twitch dashboard) gives you a realistic income picture before committing hours to streaming. Frequently Asked Questions

How is ad revenue calculated?

The calculator multiplies your average viewers by your ad minutes per hour and total stream time to get total ad impressions. That number is then multiplied by an estimated CPM for your chosen audience country to project your earnings.

Advertisers pay different rates depending on where viewers are located, known as CPM. A US-based audience typically earns a higher CPM than other regions. If your country isn’t listed, select “Other.” This uses a baseline estimate of $2 CPM.

No, this tool gives an estimate, not a guarantee. Twitch doesn’t publish official ad rates, so actual payouts can shift based on the season, advertiser demand, and other factors.

Ad revenue is just one piece. Your total income also depends on subscriptions and bits/donations, so treat this calculator as an estimate of your ad earnings alone, not your full Twitch income.  Three levers matter most: grow your average viewers, stream more hours or more often, and run more ad minutes per hour. Hitting 3+ minutes per hour can also qualify you for Twitch’s Ads Incentive Program, which raises your revenue share.
